Step 2: Complete the Course

Our 8-hour course is made up of short lessons, which are packed with engaging instruction, animations, slide shows, videos and games. There’s a short multiple choice quiz after each lesson. Don’t worry—you can take the quiz as many times as necessary to pass.

You can come and go as often as you like—each time you log in, we take you to where you last left off. You can complete the course at whatever pace best suits you.

Step 3: Pass the final exam.

The State of Alaska requires all defensive driving students to take the final exam at an approved testing location. We offer an extensive list of convenient testing locations from which to choose from. The exam consists of 10 multiple choice questions. You must score 80% or higher to pass. You may take the exam as many times as necessary to pass. Safe2Drive does not charge any fees to retake the exam.

Step 4: Receive your Certificate of Completion.

Point Reduction: You can print a free copy of your Certificate of Completion for your records. We submit your completion information to the DMV for you.

Court-Referred: You can print your Certificate of Completion online for free. Simply sign the certificate and deliver it to your court.
