What is the Pennsylvania Mature Driver Improvement Course?

The Pennsylvania Mature Driver Improvement courses are regulated by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. The Basic course is a 7-hour course Pennsylvania drivers can take if they are age 55 or older and have never taken a Mature Driver Improvement course for an insurance discount. The Refresher course is a 4-hour course Pennsylvania drivers can take if they are age 55 or older and it has been 3 years since they have completed a Pennsylvania Mature Driver course. Drivers can take a Mature Driver Improvement course to qualify for a 5% or higher car insurance discount that lasts for 3 years!
