Our
Florida Basic Driver Improvement (BDI) course is approved by
the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV). We provide a fun and engaging course that will meet your BDI needs. If you’re unsure what a BDI course is or who should take it, you’re in the right place. We’re here to answer five FAQs about our Florida Basic Driver Improvement course.
What is a BDI course?
BDI stands for Basic Driver Improvement. Our Florida-approved BDI course will refresh your memory on defensive driving techniques, important Florida laws, what to do in driving emergencies, how to share the road with others, and more.
Can you take a driver improvement course online?
Yes! Our course is 100% online. Who has time to sit in a classroom? We’ve designed our course with your valuable time in mind. You can complete our course at home or on the go—anywhere with an internet connection!
How long is the Basic Driver Improvement course?
As per state requirements, we offer a 4 hour BDI course. One of the benefits of an online course is that you can complete it at your own pace. Want to finish it in one sitting? Great! Would you rather work on the FL BDI course for half an hour each morning before work? Go for it! Each time you log in, we automatically take you right back to where you left off.
Is there a test I have to take?
You’ll take a 5-question multiple-choice quiz after each lesson, and you need to get 4 out of 5 right in order to move on to the next lesson. Most people pass on the first try, but you can take the quizzes as many times as you need. There are 9 short lessons in our course, and they’re made up of reading material, videos, animations, and even fun games! Each lesson will prepare you for the quiz, and you’ll learn the BDI course answers as you go. When you finish the course, you’ll take a 40-question multiple-choice final exam. You’ll need to score at least an 80% on the final exam, which most people do on their first try. If you need extra time to study, no worries. We allow unlimited exam retakes at no extra charge.
How does the BDI course work?
It’s simple: register for the course, complete the course, and get your Certificate of Completion. Easy! You can even try our course for free! Payment is due before you take the final exam. Once you’ve passed the course, you’ll be awarded your Certificate of Completion. You can print it online.
