Nevada Traffic School

Drivers in Nevada typically take traffic school for one of two reasons:

	Ticket Dismissal
	Point Reduction

Ticket Dismissal
This is the most common reason. Drivers can get their ticket dismissed by completing traffic school and then showing proof of completion to the court. You are eligible for traffic school if:
	You have a valid driver licence.
	You were ticketed for a moving violation (e.g., speeding, red light).
	You have not taken traffic school for a ticket you got in the last 12 months.

Point Reduction

Drivers can get up to 3 points removed from their driving record by taking traffic school voluntarily. Safe2Drive sends your proof of completion directly to the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles.

You will pick up where you left off each time you return.

You must pass an exam to earn yoru proof of completion (certificate). The exam is easy and takes about 10 minutes. You take it right on your computer. Most people pass the exam the first time. However, you can take it as often as you wish. There is no charge for retakes. For ticket dismissal we mail you an original copy of your certificate. You sign this and take it to the court. You can also print a copy from the computer for your records.
For point reduction we notify the Nevada DMV directly within 24 hours of your completion. You can also print a copy for your records right from the computer.
