California Traffic School in Marin County

Safe2Drive is licensed by the California DMV to offer traffic school to drivers who get a ticket in Marin County. When you complete traffic school, the court masks (hides) your traffic ticket. Safe2Drive sends you a completion certificate which you sign and submit to the court.

Court Locations

The court is located at Marin County Superior Court, 3501 Civic Center Drive, San Rafael, California 94903.

Courtesy Notice

A courtesy notice is mailed to the address listed on the citation. The notice contains general information about requirements and options available for resolving the ticket, which may include: (1) the amount of bail, (2) traffic school eligibility requirements, and (3) contact information. Contact the court if you do not get a courtesy notice within three weeks of receiving a citation. You are still responsible for taking care of the ticket even if you do not get a courtesy notice.

Request Traffic School

To request traffic school, individuals must register with the court on or before the due date on the citation or courtesy notice. In addition to the educational benefits of attending traffic violator school, one of the primary reasons so many individuals choose this option is to avoid having their violations reported to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), which often results in increased insurance rates. Those electing to attend traffic school will be required to pay the bail amount plus a $49 administrative fee.

Attending Traffic School

The court must receive your traffic school certificate by your completion due date. If you fail to complete traffic school by the due date you may have a conviction reported to the DMV, point(s) added to your driving record, a referral to Revenue Services for payment, and/or a hold placed on your driving record.
