What is the Virginia Driver Improvement Clinic?
Our Virginia Driver Improvement Clinic is an online course designed to teach you defensive driving techniques and traffic laws in an engaging and fun way. Who takes the course?
Virginia drivers take a driver improvement clinic for one of four reasons: to satisfy a court order, to satisfy a DMV requirement, to get an insurance discount (be sure to check with your insurance company first if this is why you’re interested in the course), or voluntarily to earn 5 safe driving points. If any of those reasons apply to you, then our course is probably a good fit. You get to take our course completely online and on your own time. You need to be at least 20 years old in order for our online course to satisfy a driver improvement clinic requirement.
How long does a driver improvement course take?
This course satisfies the Virginia Driver Improvement 8-hour requirement. We understand that some people may read and retain information faster than others, so this course is not timed and is self-paced; you can take the course at your leisure.
