California Traffic School in Mendocino County

Court Locations

Mendocino Superior Court has two court locations where you may take care of a traffic ticket: the Ukiah Branch and the Ten Mile Branch. The Ukiah Branch is located at 100 North State Street in Ukiah. The Ten Mile Branch is at 700 South Franklin Street in Fort Bragg. The court location to which your case is assigned is listed on your ticket.

Courtesy Notice

You will receive a Courtesy Notice in the mail within three weeks of getting a ticket. The Courtesy Notice will indicate how much you will need to pay, the due date if your violation was an infraction, or the scheduled mandatory Court appearance date if your violation was a misdemeanor. The notice will also contain information regarding traffic school eligibility. Call the phone number on your ticket if you do not receive the notice within 3 weeks.

Traffic Court

Traffic court handles all adult traffic citations that were issued in Mendocino County. Juvenile traffic matters are handled in the Mendocino County Probation Department. The Traffic division will handle all trial matters relating to traffic infractions.

Eligibility for Traffic School

You may be eligible for traffic school if you have not attended traffic school within the last 18 months. The courtesy notice will tell you if you are eligible.

Request Traffic School

You request traffic school by submitting to the court an administrative fee plus bail. Upon receipt of bail plus the administrative fee, your case will automatically be extended by the clerk 60 days to allow for the completion of traffic school and receipt of the certificate of completion.
